STEM Volunteers will contribute to East End House’s School Age and Middle School Programs by connecting with children and youth during afterschool hours. As professionals or students from the STEM sector, STEM Volunteers will share their knowledge, interest, and work with young people.

The School Age Program serves children kindergarten through fifth grade from many of the Cambridge Public Schools. Assist group leaders with activities, tutor, help with homework and literacy, or run special workshops on STEM, art, computers, and more.

Food Pantry Volunteers will assist in greeting consumers, helping consumers fill out forms, stocking food pantry, packing grocery bags, unpacking food deliveries, cleaning the pantry, and taking inventory.

Assist teachers with classroom activities. Read, sing, play an instrument, arts and crafts, play games, or share a talent with toddlers and preschoolers.

Homework room volunteers will work with children in a variety of grades by explaining assignments, providing direct support and encouragement, and assisting staff in managing the daily operations of the room.

Help the East End House administration by relieving receptionists, answering phones, performing data entry, and assisting with mass mailings.

CASA volunteers are specially trained individuals who are appointed by a Judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children.
