We are always looking for caring, responsible, adult volunteers who can serve as a trusted friend, advisor and advocate to an Alray Scholar. As a mentor, you would support a scholar in developing important academic and life skills, identifying useful resources, making positive life decisions, and ultimately earning an Associate, Bachelor or vocational degree. Building-Creating-Performing: Patriots Day, ArtWalk public art initiatives, and Music at events.

These are short, one-time projects such as: writing thank-you cards; staffing an event (like helping at an art workshop); amplifying our announcements for new events, or programs; hanging a gallery exhibit; weeding the garden; displaying art for ArtWalk (October); or creating a photo display showcasing the Munroe building’s history.

Summer Camp, Help setting up summer stage, and tents – May, Garden help – moving small “art bricks” to the garden, weeding in June, and Lemonade Social – help serving lemonade, greeting guests.

A crew of 4-5 inventory volunteers are tasked with unloading our food pick-up truck, re-stocking pantry shelves, fridges and freezers and maintaining general cleanliness of pantry. Heavy lifting is required. Noon-3pm.

A crew of 9 pantry volunteers are tasked with checking in clients outside while clients stay in their cars, bagging groceries and bringing groceries out to clients’ cars. 9:15am – 12:30pm.

Help our facilities team with simple repairs, basic landscaping, carpentry, and painting.

Help maintain our heirloom gardens, harvest produce, and assist with CSA distribution.

Assist with barn cleaning and the feeding and general care of our livestock.

Help to welcome arriving visitors and school groups, and launch them on a memorable visit!
