For those interested in a one-time volunteer opportunity, we host monthly career panels, college campus visits, job shadows, resume reviews, mock interviews, networking events, etc. Volunteers join us for these activities to share their passion, answer questions from youth and provide real-life advice on how to pursue different college and career pathways.

Our volunteers serve many roles such as: ushers, committee members, box office assistants, stage hands, designers, photographers, costumers, advocates, and party planners.

Host a holiday-themed activity at Penelope’s Place for the shelter families. Organize your workplace or community to donate toiletry items, home furnishings, baby items, and gift cards for residents in out shelter, families participating in Healthy Families, or individuals in the PASS program.

Support Revels with office and computer tasks. Database skills and experience with software programs are helpful. Time: Weekdays, daytime hours. A minimum commitment of twice per month is requested.

Volunteer with senior residents on a one-to-one basis. Your conversation and interaction with individuals will stimulate their interests and reduce feelings of loneliness. Assist with a walk outside, read to someone, or play a game of cards. Volunteer anytime between 9am and 6pm on any day. Must be able to push a wheelchair.

Provide companionship and assistance to isolated older adults by engaging in routine activities or participating in social programs.

Assist with community activities, fundraising efforts, planning, set up and break down of events.

Assist with the assembly and distribution of “brown bags” that are filled with free groceries for low-income elders.

Meals on Wheels drivers deliver nutritionally balanced meals to home bound elders and adults with disabilities throughout the Merrimack Valley.

The Young Professionals Committee at YES is a young professionals group dedicated to empowering urban youth in Boston through outdoor and enrichment programming.
