In the office, at the shelter, or during special events, HAWC can use all the hands it can get! HAWC offers many opportunities for workplace activism, but if you want your group to get involved in other ways, let us know!

For those who cannot dedicate a serious amount of time to HAWC or would rather gradually begin getting involved, consider the following volunteer opportunities that only require an orientation: document translation, clinical supervisor provider, and event related help.

Want to maintain the trails on your own time? Contact us and choose a trail (or section of trail), or ask for a suggestion. We’ll provide training – and furnish you with a tip sheet and report form. Adoption commitments are for a minimum of two years. Just let us know by e-mail each time…

You don’t need any experience to start maintaining the trails. You’ll be trained and be given tools too! Just bring your hands, gloves (if you have them), some water and a can-do attitude. We also have a family-friendly event to engage all ages in removing invasive species that threaten the forests.

Help stock shelves, refrigerators and freezers. Assemble custom grocery bags and distribute them to individuals and families. Work one day, two days or all three days to provide food to the needy in the Brockton area. Any student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, teacher or mentor.

Assist with the assembly and distribution of “brown bags” that are filled with free groceries for low-income elders.
