Take Me Out To The Ballgame

In its brief 4 year history, Baseball in the Berkshires has quickly united the county in telling the rich history of baseball in Berkshires County. Upon its “birth” in 2016 a call went out for photos, stories, and artifacts. After collecting more than 250 items, the exhibit at Arrowhead was opened. Since that time with stops at the Country Club of Pittsfield and the Berkshire Mall as well as satellite showings in Sheffield, North Adams, Lenox and Lee,  the exhibits have drawn thousands to these locations. Since 2016, thanks to the people of the Berkshires and their family and friends our collection now includes over 1200 pieces. Our newest exhibit – “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” originally scheduled to open in May, has now been changed to July due to Covid-19. As we slowly and safely emerge from the countrywide quarantine, it is our goal that we continue the unity, story-telling and education with our newest exhibit. With fund raising cut short, we are renewing the efforts that will allow us to continue our programming not only in Dalton but satellite displays in Adams and Williamstown and educational programming in the schools. Volunteers are needed as we set up for our exhibits as well as manning those displays. The Boston Globe last year called us “A Museum Worth Catching” – Come be part of our team!
