About this event

Join our Beloved Community for our annual program celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the People’s Chelsea A.M.E. Church, Youth & Young Adult Coalition (YYAC), the Chelsea Black Community, Chelsea Public Schools, Greenroots, La Collaborative, The Neighborhood Developers, and others. This year the celebration will be virtual. The National Day of Service Projects will be announced and volunteers can sign-up.

#1 – Project Opening Doors homeless initiative to purchase needed items, stock inventory, and distribute items.

#2 – Forum “I Am the Dream … Content on my Character”
providing a safe space for youth and young adults to have a conversation.

#3 -Wellness Kit/PPE Distribution: Volunteers prepare kits for distribution to Chelsea residents only. Kits include masks, hand sanitizer, wipes, & thermometers + batteries. Testing van also available.
