About this event

Boston Housing Authority and AmeriCorps are partnering for the MLK Day of Service to create business professional community closets. Our AmeriCorps VISTA is organizing a professional clothing drive to create community closets for public housing residents who need professional attire to go to job interviews and other events as needed. The pandemic has affected many of Boston’s low income communities and this will have a huge impact on our residents’ ability to return to the workforce.

While all donations are appreciated, please consider donating used but well-loved suits, blazers, dress shirts, slacks, dresses and ties. Donations will be accepted until January 15th and distributed on the 18th for the National MLK Day of Service. If you are interested in dropping off clothing, please email [email protected].
