Our mission

Our mission is to inspire and connect the North Central MA community to create equitable access to healthy food and environmental sustainability through education, collaboration and advocacy.
Opportunities

Volunteer

We welcome everyone from avid gardeners to corporate teams and school groups to help with a variety of tasks like building or maintaining a community garden, teaching gardening basics to new gardeners, helping with garden-to-table food demonstrations, leading gardening or healthy eating workshops, assisting with our youth programs, and more!

About us

Growing Places works to address the high levels of poverty, food insecurity, health related problems, and limited access to fresh foods prevalent in North Central MA. Our work also responds to the sustained demand for our garden and nutrition programs from low-income individuals and community partners, growing interest in promoting healthy activities in the region, and opportunities to build community.
