About us | We are an entirely volunteer-led operation with zero salaried staff. Truro is a sleepy beach town with a year-round population of under 2,000, and many of our residents are seniors, living with disabilities, and/or living alone. Once a week, we deliver free, hearty, home-cooked meals to over 100 Truro residents in need, no questions asked. We recognize that need looks different for different people, especially these days, and is not limited to financial need alone. For this reason, Truro residents are not required to identify themselves nor qualify themselves in any way in order to receive meals. In this same vein, we place no cap on the number of people we can serve—we find out how many people need meals and we figure out a way to make sure they all get fed. |
