Grant Reviewer

Become a grant reviewer today. A fair and independent review process is essential for a strong grants program. Grant reviewers read, score, comment on and rank grant applications based on the instructions and criteria provided by Affiliate staff and/or the Grants Chair. The review panel works together to develop a slate of grants to be presented to the Affiliate Board of Directors for approval.

Community Health Fairs

We often call on our dedicated volunteers to represent Komen New England at health fairs, community events and corporations. We provide the educational materials, a quiz wheel, giveaways, and signage — we need you to bring your enthusiasm, knowledge and outgoing personality! Volunteers are needed throughout our service area. Training will be provided.

Race for the Cure Volunteer

We host our signature Race for the Cure events annually to raise funds and awareness for the local fight against breast cancer, celebrate breast cancer survivors and thrivers and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. We welcome any and all fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals who are willing to contribute to the success of these important events.

Administrative/Office Help

Komen New England has an ongoing need for admin support in our Farmington, CT and Newton, MA offices. Duties include answering phones, assisting with mailings, filing, data entry and other general clerical duties. Basic computer, phone and office equipment skills required. Good customer service is imperative.

We have invested over $13 million in Connecticut organizations, over $3 million in Maine organizations, over $9 million in Massachusetts organizations, and over $6.5 million in Vermont and New Hampshire organizations providing breast health services to uninsured and underinsured residents.The Affiliate has also contributed more than $9.5 million to support breast cancer research.
