About us | Restoration Project is a nonprofit vocational rehabilitation program teaching traditional methods of furniture restoration to adults with mental illness, head injuries, and at-risk adolescents. Our participants work in our thrift store and learn the skills of furniture finishing and upholstering to build the confidence and skills needed for competitive employment. Participants progress to employment in their chosen field, (usually not refinishing or upholstering,) in six months to a year with the help of our career counselor and job developer. |
