Foods Needed

What Kind of Food Do People Need? If you're considering donating food to our Emergency Food Pantry, here are some helpful guidelines to keep in mind.

The following items are always in demand:

  • Tuna fish
  • Rice
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Peanut Butter
  • Kids Snacks
  • Canned Pasta
  • Meal Helpers
  • Baby food
  • Noodles
  • Canned vegetables and fruits
Our pantry also has 5 freezers and 4 refrigerators. We accept refrigerated and frozen foods as well as the canned and dry foods.For the health and dignity of those we serve, we cannot accept badly dented cans, outdated cans, or open packages.The Emergency Food Pantry is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About usIn 1975, Open Pantry Community Services was founded as a private, nonprofit organization in Springfield, Massachusetts. Open Pantry receives wonderful support from area faith communities and houses of worship however, the agency does not have or promote any religious mission.
