Nonotuck Community School
Ways to help | Work with young children, under age 5!Volunteers at Nonotuck engage with children in the classroom, reading books, playing with toys, doing art activities and helping with lunch, etc. Doing a little clean-up, such as wiping off tables or sweeping up after lunch is an occasional activity. Volunteers go outside to the playground with the class and need to dress accordingly. Volunteers are always in the classroom with a licensed teacher.Answer phones in the afternoonOur office staff at our child care center is part time. We need someone to be in the office to answer the phones and to open the door for visitors. There is very little activity, so this is a great opportunity for someone who would like to read or knit or do personal work on the computer (within bounds). If so inclined, we could also ask this person to load our dishwasher and help with some light office work. |
