Our missionEstablished in 1973, Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area (LVMont) is a private, nonprofit organization which provides free, confidential, and individualized tutoring to adults in basic literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Tutor

Satisfactorily complete the tutor training workshop, prepare individual lessons for students, and tutor for 2 hours per week for a minimum of 9 - 12 months

Board Member

Responsible for long-range and strategic planning, resource development, financial insight, policy development, maintaining legal affairs, and board development. Participation in at least two-thirds of the monthly Board meetings and special events. Committees include: Executive, Nominating, Board development, Fundraising and Publicity.
