Friend 2 Friend Volunteer Program

The F2F Program pairs a participant, an adult with mild to moderate disabilities, with a volunteer Friend. Friends get together for a few hours once or twice per month at a mutually convenient time and place. Many of our matches enjoy going to the movies, playing mini golf or bowling, and sharing hobbies or meals. Volunteers must be 21+, willing to make at least a one year commitment, capable of using a personal vehicle or mass transit to travel to activities, and willing to submit to the screening and interview process.

Children's Community Program Volunteer

Our Community Program pairs children with volunteer mentors in 1:1 match relationships. Matches meet twice per month and spend time doing activities they mutually enjoy. Some catch up over ice cream at J.P. Licks, stroll Blue Hill Reservation, read books at the library, or share another outing, subject to parental approval. Volunteers must be 21+, willing to make at least a one year commitment, capable of using a personal vehicle or mass transit to travel to activities, and willing to submit to the screening and interview process.

How you help JBBBS currently has more than 400 matches across both programs. It could not be successful without the work of the 400+ volunteers who generously give their time. Volunteers are Jewish and non-Jewish students, professionals, parents, and grandparents as diverse as the children, families, and adults we serve.
About us Since 1919, Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters has been transforming lives through mentoring and friendship. We serve Jewish and non-Jewish children and families; we also serve adults with disabilities – and our volunteers reflect our diversity.
