Our mission	To end homelessness in Greater Boston by assisting individuals in obtaining housing and settling into the community, and by developing strategies to prevent homelessness before it starts.

Opportunities	Walk-In Volunteer Each Wednesday, we open our doors to anyone looking for housing. Work with us to help find housing and apply for available services. Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site, Formal Weekdays Young Leadership Council Our young professionals serve through social media efforts, obtaining donated items for fundraising auctions, and participating in ICycle. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, Adults Individuals Indoor, Outdoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends One-time Opportunities Assist throughout the year with Welcome Home Baskets, the Homeless Census Team, Homeless Placement Event Support, iCycle Rider or Event Support, Client Holiday Celebration, or as a Fundraising Event Volunteer. One-time, Occasional 55+, Adults, Child with Adult Individuals, Groups (2-10), Corporate Teams Indoor, Outdoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends

How you help	Throughout the year HomeStart needs volunteers to help us support the homeless community in Greater Boston.

About us	Over the course of the last 20 years, HomeStart has permanently housed more than 10,000 individuals living on the street and in shelters, and has prevented nearly 3,000 families from experiencing homelessness. HomeStart serves hundreds of people each year in the Greater Boston Area. Our clients include single parents and their children, victims of domestic violence, veterans, and persons with disabilities. All of them are living at or below the poverty line.
