Ways to help | Hospice VolunteerVolunteers deliver assistance in a variety of ways to patients and caregivers, and in helping behind the scenes to support hospice care. Volunteers provide grief support, assist with programs, provide companionship, and more. Volunteers receive 6 weeks of training and must take a TB test and background check.Administrative/Event VolunteerOthers donate their time and talent helping in the administrative offices, on special projects or assist at fundraising events. Volunteers who assist with administrative support and special events must be 15 years or older; full volunteer training and TB tests are not required.Additional OpportunitiesVolunteers deliver assistance in a variety of ways to patients and caregivers, and in helping behind the scenes to support hospice care. Bereavement & Grief Support, Dementia Program, Keepsake Program, Living Legacy “Reflections” Program, Massage, Merrimack Valley Hospice Singers, Patient Companion, Pet Therapy, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch, Respite for Caregivers, Spiritual Support, Tuck-in Callers, US Veteran Volunteers, and Vigil Support. |
