Ways to help

Volunteer

Volunteers fill many roles at Girls Inc., such as homework tutors, class and workshop instructors, staff assistants, clean-up project participants, and field trip coordinators. Time commitments for volunteers range from one afternoon (such as leading a special workshop for the girls) to one or more days every week (such as teaching a class, or helping out in the homework center).

How you help Volunteers help us to shape the transformational difference in the lives of so many girls.
About us Girls Incorporated has evolved considerably since young women formed the War Community Service in 1917. To this day, we continue to evolve with the needs of girls and young women and customize our innovative, research-based programs in the out-of-school hours that value the potential of young people. Our philosophy and programming are designed to equip girls with valuable skills and resources, to prevent unhealthy behaviors, and to compensate for educational, cultural, and recreational activities our members frequently do not get at home or in school.
