How you help | Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun. Be the troop leader that supports her every week—the one that watches her smile get bigger as she grows more confident. Mentor a Girl Scout Cookie Professional during cookie season so she can earn enough to reach the goals she and her troop set. Or work with other adults to provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes it possible for her to make amazing new memories at Girl Scouts. |

About us | We currently serve nearly 10,000 girls, age 5-18, and 5,000 adult volunteers in 186 communities in central and western Massachusetts. We are an all-inclusive organization that strives to ensure that Girl Scouting is available to all who are interested; the majority of our constituents are low-to-moderate income. Our goals are: 1.) to provide the essential framework that helps girls to build skills, develop character and values, make sound decisions, and be successful in a diverse world; 2.) create awareness and understanding of the correlation between education and success, and empower girls to be all they can be and 3.) engage girls in leadership and decision-making roles so they will build self-esteem, develop a sense of competency, and become resilient, active contributors to our society. Through numerous enriching programs, including day and overnight camps, and series on topics such as STEM, financial literacy, and health and personal wellness, Girl Scouts allows girls to experience progressive programming that helps them to realize their potential and gain useful skills they will carry throughout their lives. We are dedicated to promoting true leadership, diversity and inclusiveness, honesty and fairness, courage and strength, and respect for self and others. We encourage girls to have strong, confident voices, to advocate for themselves and others, and to have conviction about their own potential and self-worth. Girl Scouts provides opportunities for girls to explore their world, love their planet and tell their stories while gaining skills, planning their Girl Scout journey and running their very first business through the Cookie Program. |
