| How you help | DID YOU KNOW? Friendly House provides over 1,600 holiday meals to families in need yearly. The agency also distributes over 6,000 toys for Christmas. We are able to do this with the assistance of dedicated volunteers from various schools, companies and people who just want to help! Area schools help provide our programs with volunteers and interns that are actively pursuing careers as well as participating in community minded classes aimed at developing professionals. Volunteers get to help with a variety of activities within Friendly House! |

| About us | Friendly House was founded in 1920 “for the educational, social and family betterment of residents of the City of Worcester”. We have grown into a multi-service center that works with entire families both immediate and extended, as an integrating force for the families and the neighborhood(s) it serves. Friendly House operates due to an organized effort of people concerned about the development of their neighborhoods. While we provide a continuum of comprehensive coordinated neighborhood basic services to inner-city families; we are not simply a set of services. We really focus on the entire family, especially those under-served and under-resourced. Friendly House service programs are organized into four major service areas; Social Services, Feeding Programs, Housing Services and Youth Programs. |
