Ways to help

Mentor

Accelerator Mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and use their business and leadership experience to guide new entrepreneurs through the process of turning their idea into a growing business. Mentors work in teams of three and are matched with an entrepreneur based on schedule availability and desire to work together. The team meets virtually as a group to help reaffirm topics and themes raised during classes, while also strategizing with the entrepreneur on how to reach their specific goals during the program. This is a high-touch year-long commitment. Mentor teams have 90-minute meetings each week for 3 months and then meet once a month for the following 9 months.

Interviewer

Community leaders and business professionals participate in interviews to help EforAll decide which applicants will be a good fit for the Accelerator Program. Interviewers and staff will meet with applicants for 30 minutes each to ask questions and provide feedback to the applicant. Interviewers can commit to a 2 hour time block or more if available!

Reader

One way that we are able to ensure fairness and balance among Pitch Contest and Accelerator applicants is by having individuals volunteer their time to review and score applications from entrepreneurs. Constructive feedback to early-stage entrepreneurs is critical to their growth and overall success. This is done remotely, time commitment is flexible, and offered several times per year. This is a great way to plug into the creative energy of the community.
