Ways to help | Traveling Science Support VolunteersHelp the Traveling Science Workshop program prepare materials for children to use in our workshops! Hands-on learning is at the heart of each workshop we share, and a lot of time goes into the preparation of materials. Volunteer and learn about some of these fun projects while you cut, fold, sort, and count. We encourage friends to volunteer together. We offer a flexible schedule that includes 2 to 3 hours/week for four or more weeks throughout the summer.Teen Volunteer ProgramDiscovery Museum Teen Volunteer Program is for students ages 14 through 17 who are looking for experience working with children, opportunities to complete community service requirements, and the chance to learn and build new skills! Students apply to volunteer for a four-month-long cycle, which provides an opportunity to train at the museum and become comfortable working in a fun, fast-paced environment. Upon completion of the cycle, volunteers will meet with a volunteer supervisor to give and gain feedback; we hope that volunteers decide to continue volunteering at the museum after completion of a cycle |

About us | Our philosophy starts with the simple belief that kids are capable of incredible things. Our job is to nurture that natural ability; our goal is to support kids' healthy development. We know that to support kids we need to support their parents. Our efforts are geared toward fostering family fun and celebrating the joy of learning together. |
