Discovering Justice
Ways to help | Legal MentorMentor middle school students as they delve deeper into our nation’s judicial system through our Mock Trial and Mock Appellate programs. Work with students on a weekly basis throughout a Fall and/or Spring Semester.Field Trip VolunteerEngage with K-8 students and support their learning about the justice system through a mock trial in a Federal courtroom. Volunteers provide students with opportunities to practice democracy and vital skills in building and presenting arguments.Courthouse DocentLead a Moakley Courthouse Tour to provide students and members of the public with the opportunity to learn about its role and history in the justice system, and its value as a vibrant public space for art, architecture and parks.Guest SpeakerDiscovering Justice is looking for volunteers from the legal, educational and advocacy communities to become guest speakers at one of our weekly sessions. Guest Speakers will give a short presentation on their area of expertise, and answer student questions about that week’s topic in a small group format. |
