Ways to help | Bill Payer VolunteerOur bill-paying volunteers are people who enjoy helping others and are comfortable with paperwork. We have a team of over 15 individuals who assist clients in their homes. They range in age from 29 to over 85 years old. Some started volunteering recently and others have been volunteering for more than 20 years. Responsibilities: sort mail, organize bills, monitor income and expenses, develop budgets, write checks for the elder’s signatureVolunteers primarily work with elders in their homes. Volunteers spend 2-4 hours per month helping clients. Due to the extensive training requirements, we ask that potential volunteers be willing to commit to at least 12 months of service to the program. |

How you help | Through regular monthly visits, tackling household bills, clients and volunteers build a rapport and often a friendship that can last years. In fact, some of our volunteers have been working with the same client for several years, while others have helped many individuals over the years. |
