Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, there has been an increase in individuals and families visiting the food pantry and a higher than normal need for volunteers to support. This volunteer opportunity is open to the community and any individual with a Boston Cares account and who follows our safety requirements may sign up. Having attended a Boston Cares orientation is not required. Please e-mail [email protected] if you have questions.
Volunteers will help receive food donations from the Greater Boston Food Bank and food rescues and restock the shelves at the East End House Food Pantry. This is an active project! Volunteers should be able to comfortably lift 30-50 lbs.
