Our mission

To partner with under-resourced families to provide their children with transformational, one-to-one professionally-supported relationships with caring adult mentors, so that their children will thrive.
Opportunities

Become a Big

Our community-based program is our traditional match in which adult mentors are paired with children ages 7-12, and agree to see each other for three hours, a couple of times a month. Mentor 2.0 is a technology-enriched one-to-one youth mentoring program directly targeting high school students. Mentor-mentee pairs build their relationships through weekly online communication and monthly in-person meetings.

How you help

You don’t need super-powers to be someone’s hero…you just need to be you, and be there! Right now, young kids all over the Cape are looking for someone to be a mentor, a guide, a friend- someone who can help them reach their potential. That someone could be you- and it could be the most rewarding thing you’ve ever done.
About us

Founded in 1974, BBBS has a 45 year history of igniting potential for at-risk youth on the Cape & Islands. Through an innovative program model, with proven outcomes at its core, BBBS serves over 400 children yearly in 1:1 professionally supported mentoring friendships with caring adult volunteers.
